December 5: coziness, presents - and safe, pet-friendly treats! Note: chocolate, raisins, xylitol and many human candy are dangerous to animals. Therefore, choose simple, animal-friendly "peppernuts" and keep portions small.
Dog peppercorns recipe
Super simple and ready in ~20 minutes. You use the fine "grit" from the bag of dog kibble (or grind some kibble). Serve as a small treat in addition to regular food.

What do you need.
- Gruel from dog food (bottom of bag) or finely ground kibble
- 1 egg
- Baking paper and baking sheet
- Bowl + whisk or mixer
No grit? Put some chunks in a bag and crush them into crumbs with a pan.
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 150 °C and line the baking tray with baking paper.
- Mix the crumbs with the egg to form a firm dough.
- Roll small balls (± 4 cm) and halve them for the "peppercorn" shape.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes at 150 °C.
- Allow to cool completely. Store airtight and feed in moderation.
