The beach is a breath of fresh air for humans and animals alike. Literally getting a breath of fresh air always does some good! Only, dogs are not allowed on all beaches. At Kijkduin, your dog can run free all year round. Kijkduin is a wide beach where your four-legged friend can run around and romp in the sand. Another advantage is that you can park for free at the end of Machiel Vrijenhoeklaan!
2. Noordwijk, South Holland
In Noordwijk, dogs are certainly desired. The several beach tents give permission to allow dogs. On the beach your dog can take a lovely walk and dogs are also welcome in the dune areas. Your four-legged friend's day (and yours) can't go wrong!
3. Schiermonnikoog, Friesland
Most beaches on Schiermonnikoog offer access to dogs all year round. So, you can take a lovely beach walk on the Wadden Island. Just be aware that the island is car-free! Of course, you can rent a bike or just walk a lot with your four-legged friend.
4. Strand Westerschouwen, Burgh-Haamstede, Zeeland
There are not many beaches in Zeeland where dogs are allowed, especially in the summer months. Strand Westerschouwen in Burgh-Haamstede offers access to dogs, but dogs must be on a leash during the summer months. From 10:00 am to 7:00 pm, dogs must be leashed. Furthermore, Strand Westerschouwen is a beautiful, wide beach. And during an evening/ morning walk, you can therefore let your four-legged friend loose!
5. Kennemerstrand / IJmuiderslag, North Holland
Kennemerstrand is a beach where dogs are allowed. Your dog may run free here all year round south of beach post 57.5, around the Kennemermeer lake and in the dunes behind the beach.
