3 snacks to make yourself for your four-legged friend

Do you have a free afternoon and feel like doing something fun AND useful? Then make your own snacks for your dog! Not only is it a fun activity, but you also know exactly what's in it. Below are three easy recipes for dog snacks that are both delicious and healthy.

1. Refreshing yogurt ice creams.

For hot days, popsicles are the perfect cool down for dogs. This recipe makes a delicious refreshment from yogurt and dog treats.

What you need:

  • Ice holders or freezer-proof cups
  • Pens stick (do not use plastic sticks)
  • Lukewarm water
  • Two kinds of dog treats of different colors
  • A little yogurt

Soak the dog chunks separately in lukewarm water until soft. Fill the icebox with one color of kibble and let it partially freeze. Then insert the tripe bar and pour a layer of yogurt over it. Let it freeze again and finally add the second color of soaked kibble. Let it freeze completely and voila - a colorful dog ice cream!

2. Peanut butter cookies

These cookies are a real favorite among dogs! Just be sure to use peanut butter with no additives or xylitol, as it is toxic to dogs.

What you need (for about 50 pieces):

  • 150 g flour
  • 150 g fine oatmeal
  • 100 g peanut butter (100% peanuts)
  • 1 egg
  • 100 ml of water

Preheat the oven to 170°C and place baking paper on the baking sheet. Mix all the ingredients into a firm dough. Roll it out to a thickness of about 1 cm and cut out cute figures, such as bones or hearts. Bake the cookies for 30-40 minutes until golden brown. Let them cool well before giving them to your dog.
