2 recipes for dog ice creams!

Like us, dogs love to cool off with ice cream in hot weather. Unfortunately, no matter how sweet they look at us, a lick of our ice cream is not good for them. Fortunately, you can read the solution below! Special dog ice creams are super easy to make yourself, our four-legged friends love them and they are also good for puppies who are changing teeth.

Some quick and easy options include freezing some chunks or a banana or yogurt. Now if you happen to have just a little more time to spare then the variations below are great fun to make.

Banana-Peanut Butter

What you need:

  • 540 ml of low-fat yogurt
  • 100 grams of peanut butter
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • Dog cookies

Stuff: a mixer, a batter bowl and plastic or paper cups

  1. Put the yogurt, peanut butter, banana and honey in a bowl.
  2. Mix with a mixer until smooth.
  3. Pour the mixture into the cups and insert a dog cookie as a stick.
  4. Place the cups in the freezer and leave overnight.
  5. Remove the cup the next morning and voila, next to you is already someone begging.

Tuna special

Tip: This ice cream is also very popular with cats!

What you need:

  • Canned water-based tuna 170 grams
  • 225 grams of low-fat yogurt

Stuff: a mixer, a batter bowl and an ice cream bar

  1. Put the yogurt and tuna in a bowl.
  2. Mix with a mixer until smooth.
  3. Put the mixture into an ice cream bar and put it in the freezer for four hours.
  4. Tadaa, this time there might be two next to you begging

Note!

  • Do not give the ice cream to your dog immediately. Leaving it for a while or rinsing it off under the faucet will prevent your dog's lips or tongue from sticking to the ice cream.
  • See how your dog reacts to the ice cream. They should not eat the ice cream in 1 go, that way they get too much cold food far too quickly. Licking and biting off small pieces is good.
  • Give ice creams in moderation. In fact, too much ice cream can cause gastrointestinal distress. Also not unimportant, they remain extra calories for your dog.
  • Some dogs can't handle dairy products very well. Therefore, give your dog a small amount first so you can see how your pet reacts to it. Does your dog get diarrhea? Then it is better to choose a recipe without yogurt.
  • For yourself, always give an ice cream outside in connection with tampering.
